Open source, what’s all the fuzz about it? Well, Open source software is also known as “free software” But why is it free? Well, because there are no people with big glasses (mr. Gates?) who are playing darts for licsence rates. Open source software is mostly published under the GNU liscense. The main Goal of open source software is that you can change the source, or add things to it. So that means that we can all together build on the “perfect” software. The most populair open source programm is Linux which is an operating system.
Maybe you know that I run a Webhosting company. My servers run on the Linux operating system. Which means that my prices are much lower than a Windows hoster. Because I don’t have to pay mr Gates’ new dartboard :d
